Home Studio

Currently I do most of my creative work from home. I have a small clay studio, a corner to paint and draw, and plenty of computers and cameras for photography and design. View posts from the blog here.

Clay Studio

My clay studio occupies the western half of the basement. My family helped put up a wall in the middle to close in a space for clay and glaze. I have a pottery wheel, solid workbench, and a good amount of shelf space. I also have an old kitchen table for glazing and a sink which is convenient for cleanup.

Paint Studio

The other half of the basement is where I draw and paint. I have an easel and shelves full of paint and other art supplies. I also have a collapsible photo booth which I use to photograph my ceramic work which can be set up on the table. There is also a small workbench which doubles as storage for canvas, frames and stretcher bars.

Photography Equipment

I have two Canon DSLR bodies and four main lenses. I bought a used EOS 30D which came with an EFS 17-85mm IS. I also have a EOS Rebel XT body, a 28-135mm IS, a 100-300mm 1:4.5-5.6, and a 50mm 1.8. I have a Speedlite 430x and an assortment of filters, cards and accessories.

Computer Equipment and Software

I got a new HP pavilion to replace my old HP pavilion and a Dell 2209WA to go with it. I use the old pavilion and some other Ubuntu boxes for backup and basic web-surfing.

I'm currently working with Adobe CS5 using mostly Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver. I used Canon Digital Photo Professional on my old machine but I'm experimenting with Adobe Camera Raw now. I use Jalbum to create image galleries and FileZilla for FTP.
