Teacher: Brandon "Fuzzy" Schwartz
I attended Huntington University for four years and recieved a Bachelors degree in all grade art education. I got a job taking care of the computer lab at Ligonier Elementary my first year out of school. Then I got to put my degree to use as I took four maternity leaves for art teachers in the corporation over the next few years. In 07-08 I was asked to become a Reading Recovery teacher for half the day. I learned a lot during the training and I really enjoy working with some of the students one on one. I'm still on the lookout for an art position in the area but I really enjoy teaching reading and computers.
Teaching
I had a lot of good teachers as I went through school. In high school I had a few that really inspired me and had a positive influence on my life so I began to consider becoming a teacher myself. I really like working with kids. They are full of energy and curiosity. It is a great feeling to know that they are looking up to me and that I have a chance to have a positive impact on their lives.
